You've probably checked already, but make sure the rotten egg smell is not actually your battery being overcharged!

what ive checked.....

yeah, so far I've checked:

battery is fine
fuel/air (was running very fat, now lean)
replaced O2 sensor

rotten egg smell happens after warm-up. I was told this most likely caused by damaged sulfur, etc chemicals in cat.

(actually had a stalling incident where cat filled w/ gas, turned bright red, affraid that killed it)

I know the pain . . . just spent $350 for an aftermarket DEC cat for my BMW yesterday. The old one wasn't working well enough to pass Cal. NOx anymore after 144,000 miles and 17 years.

fucherman, is this to pass smog? if a sc cat will fit a newer carrera i have one you can use for a week or so for testing. if it hooks up and you pass give it back and buy a test pipe. just a thought.
