Thread size and Pitch for hard brake lines?
Hey All, Does anyone know the thread size and pitch for the fittings on the end of the hard brake lines? I'm planning on making some female ends that you can put over the lines while you have the calipers disconnected in order to stop brake fluid going everywhere. Thank you in advance!
Cheers, James |
I know the stock size for the hard lines on S calipers are either 10x1 or 11x1 I can't remember which. Not sure which brakes you have or if they're the same.

They are 10x1. I have been looking for caps for this application and all I can find are plastic ones. I would love to to have 4 caps. ;)

Hey, Thank you both. Chris, I will make some tomorrow and I can get them to you on Sat. if you can come. If not, I'll ship them to you.
Cheers, James Chris, if you can't make it do you have a jack thingy I can borrow for my engine drop? Michael said he could pick it up from you tomorrow at lunch. Cheers, James |
James,
No rush on the caps, I'll be seeing you at some point this winter if I don't come down for the engine drop. I'll be doing a couple of motors this winter, maybe you can come up for one of those? I'll email you about the jack thingies. -Chris |
As Chris stated 10x1.0
What caps are you looking for Chris? |
If you have alloy S calipers, use the brake bleed valves on the top of each caliper. It worked for me.
Edit... I connected them to the end of the soft lines. |
