Recaro North America

I have called there three times this week on my dime to find out when a new seat they have on there web sight will be available
the first two times i got stuck in there automated phone system
the third some very unpleasant women answered when i asked her about the seat she cut me off mid sentsnce and said that the customer service dept would have to answer that, the customer service dept is one person. I was told she would pass on the message, two days with know reply. I have resorted to E-mailing them twice know with no responce. I am a very patient person
you cant tell me that only one person at Recaro can answer my question. For the money they get for there seats im apauld with there lack of customer service.

Bi*ch session over

Screw them, buy the Corbeau FX1 wides, there is a group buy right now with a good discount & they are FIA approved. PM me if your interested. I'm getting seats, brackets & 5 point harnesses for alot less than the price of the Recaros Pole Positions alone. No excuse for piss poor customer service, I'd take my money elsewhere.

Paul, is there a thread associated with your group buy? I'd like to see the details. Thanks, Mike.

I had a Recaro SRD seat in which the side bolster split. They sent back both sides only after offering to have them redue it completely if I sent it in. Didn't seem to have any trouble with communication or response. Sorry you didn't have the same outcome.

I have checked out the Corbeau group buy, great buy includes mounting hardware and free shipping. I just sat in the Pole Position and fell in love with the look and feel of it.

If it's that difficult to buy a seat, what's it going to be like when you need post purchase Customer service?

I just use Email. They answered that. I think they are really set up to sell to suppliers, not at retail.

I just looked at the Corbeau web site. Great looking seats even greater price. Has anybody looked at the Forza model. It seems to be more competion oriented that the FX1.

I like the look of the fx1 better, the lower side supports look easier to get in and out of. Its shaped more like a recaro.

From what the supplier told me the Forza and the Pro Sport are the only seats currently approved for racing. It's very possible that the FX2 will be approved but not guranteed at this point. If you're looking for a VERY good priced seat for racing the Forza is a really nice seat at an unbeatable price (I think the last quote was for $450 for the seats, shipping and the brackets)
