Hey Capt.,

You sure it's a '71? It looks like it's got the SWB flip quarter windows??

Can't quite see in the pic.

Car doesnt look taht bad to me especially by Midwest standards! You Cal guys are all so spoiled
It will obviously need a full ground up restoration, but it doesnt look like a bad starting point. It is too nice to part out. If you bought the car intending to do a simple shave and haircut then it probably isnt teh car you need. However, if you have the time and ability to do a resto it seems like a good candidate
My two cents......

It has 73 rear bumperettes but otherwise looks like a 70/71 car to me...

I can't quite tell from the pictures, but I feel like this may be a '73. What shape are the side mirrors and what color are the horn grilles?

How about a pic of the engine?

Earlier than 73, note the small shift tower.
Obviously not '72.
Must be 71 or earlier.
My guess, 71T or E with S trim (front S bumper).

I have been following the progression of this situation. What do you mean you lost the paperwork? And the evolution of legs????
