Why would you want to?? You'd have to convert your car to a mid engined spec which would probably involve putting the motor into the back seat, and also fabricating a rear frame to put the new custom fabbed suspension.

Ok, As you can tell I am basically clueless about what motor fits what transaxle with what years etc. But I am looking at getting a rolling project 911 moving most inexpensively $(3000-4000) the car has no motor or tranny. Any suggestions would be helpful. BTW I'm not a troll even though my girlfriend might occasionally say so

I retract the troll statement. No way is a boxster engine going to fit in your car without major $$$$$$. I'm talking at least 5-10K not counting the engine. Your best and cheapest bet is a 3.2 engine and 915 tranny. If you keep your eyes open and scout around you can get a decent 3.2 for around $5000 and a 915 tranny for less than $2000. No cheap out on a 911.

It's going to be really hard to get a 911 w/o an engine or tranny on the road for $3-4k. It can be done, but you will need some very generous help. Where are you located?
EDIT: Kurt beat me to it!

Think about water...radiators...plumbing....venting exit air....
you're talking *modifications*..... How much more is a 3.0 liter air cooled motor compared to a 2.5L Boxster? ---Wil Ferch
