Help on my 90 C2, the manual calls for ATF Dexron for the power steering. Another manual I have calls for Dexron II. I can only find Dexron/Mercon III. Is there any difference? Will the Dexron III work for my c2?? thanks Bob.

Dexron III is fine for dexron or dexron II. It will say that right on the bottle.

just newer formulation.
Similar to oil formulation. A manual for a mid 70's car may specify oil that meets API SB or SC specifications, but if you tried to go find that right now you wouldn't be able to because it has been replaced severaly times over the years, I think the current is API SG and SH, that doesn't mean that you can't use modern oils in your old car. You'll be fine using whatever version of Dexron you can find. Just don't use "Type F" and you'll be OK.
