short shift problem
 

hi all ,
recently bought a porsche short shift kit.part no-C-424-931-00.
it is for a 87-930.
on the pelican site its listed for 74-86 911.
i asked for kit to suit 87-930.
the problem is it has a reverse lockout,but on the 930 that falls in 3rd and 4th gear, which is obviously different on 930-4speed.
kit seems to work ok otherwise.
does anyone know if i just use the original top plate off the 930 without the lockout or have i got the wrong kit.
