Is 930.105.461.00 correct for the valve adjustment feeler gauge?

I am trying to find some feeler gauge blades and I am trying to help my local parts supplier find the correct part. His search found this item number and we are pretty sure it's the right part but I knew one of you guys could confirm for me.

There is a box on the top of this page that says: "Search the Pelican Parts Catalog:" If you type the Porsche part number into that box and click search, it will pull up the correct part number. With the number you posted, I got a "shim". Here is the picture of the part that Pelican lists as part number 930.105.461.00

Yep, that's the part number for a washer. I thought the feeler part number was "P215"?

I *think* proper feeler gauge number is P213.
There is a P213B revised part, with the angle of the blade at more of a right angle. I simply bent mine to shape this way and it works much better. Too bad it can't be a "tad" more narrow too, as it gets hung up at some cylinder locations...as you try to get under the foot.

Where can I get that feeler guage? JW showed me one of those some time ago and I haven't been able to find one. Nice that you can just advance the blade as needed.

You'll never get an accurate adjustment with those feeler gauges. The tool pictured above isn't the P213 tool but an improvement manufactured by 'Island911'. I think its hard to come by, but the P213 is only $10 or so at Pelican.

I stumbled across that beauty on this very forum. I believe one of the travelling tool trucks used to carry them, and JW used to buy them. My understanding is that they no longer have them. JW supplied some measurements and one of the kindly gentlemen of this forum had a few made up. I believe the notion of another round is in the air.

Ah yes, P213. I knew it was P21-something!

Here's a pic of the factory P213 gauge, in case anyone was wondering:

I would recommend the Island911 tool if you can find one though. It's much easier to hold/maneuver, no screws or nuts to come loose, and enough shim stock to last a lifetime. I think he might have an updated version in the works, but I'm not positive.

Comparing the P213 to the "island911" tool, is like comparing a stone axe to a laser.

Here, here...ready to buy not only one, but TWO islands tools (please see my thread on the Classified board for WTB Island Tool). Anyone have an inside line on when these may be available again?

I've got a new guy working on the Porsche catalog (Eugene). I just told him to get in touch with Island911 about carrying these (we had talked earlier, but I didn't have anyone to do the work!)
