That Marc Donahue 917/30 was given by me as a present to my son a while back, a truly magnificent 1/18th scale model by Exoto.
It stands on the "top honors" shelf in Haroun's dust-free models cabinet, sharing the floor with the Gulf-racing color 917K (modeled after the 917 in the movie "Le Mans"): a worthy couple there! BTW, Haroun has another dozen or so 1/18 Porsches, including a beautiful Minichamp 904 and a bunch of rather cheaper Maiko's and a 50th anniversary commemoration 1/18th full weight CHOCOLATE 356 (whereof the "schokoladenbraun" paint has meanwhile rather whitened out somewhat, believed to have evolved beyond the "edible" state... ![]() And NO Carrera there.... never found one, if I could, I'd buy it for myself... ![]()

Waited almost 2 years (on the 'pre-order' list) for Exoto to bring this out. They make great models, but they take their sweet time getting them to market. It was worth the wait, however. The model is flawless.

My wife bought me an exoto 935 last x-mas. Long story but it was returned because of a price issue (on-line sale, etc..). The model was fantasic but their customer service is beyond bad. My wife will never buy another exoto product because of the experience. Which sucks for me because I want the "race" 935 and the upcoming 962, gt40, and.......

The $270 is a pair - one with the bodywork and one without. I think the pair is NLA...

What?

Wayne, that car has always been one of my favorites. I've got it on my wish list. I tried to buy the real thing but I could't get a payment plan that went out long enough!

I've got to admit, that's an astonishing model.
