Battery charger recommendations
Now that I have the replacement battery in (Interstate MTP93), I'm in the market for a battery charger/maintainer. Does anyone have a particular brand they can recommend? I drive the car about 2-3 days a week so I'm looking for something convenient when it comes to connecting/disconnecting. TIA

A lot of MC guys use the "Battery Tender." Fully automatic, won't overcharge, etc.
I got one and like it. You bolt the wires to the battery terminals, and it has a connector to connect to the Battery Tender. Get a couple of terminal connectors and you can use one Battery Tender for several vehicles. That's what I do - a week on the MC then a week on the car. Very easy, just plug and unplug. www.batterytender.com |

Now in 993 land ...

If you drive it 2-3 days a week, you don't need a battery charger. Heck, 2-3 times a month doesn't need a battery charger.
I have an Ever Start brand charger from WalMart that I am real happy with. It does all kinds of batteries (6v, deep cylce marine) and for the car battery it has a slow / tickle charge option, a regular charging and a start boost charging, in case you need to jump start a car quickly. Can't beat it at 69.99. Exchange, if it should fail, never is a big deal at WalMart either. Cheers, George |

I have the "Battery Tender Plus" too.
It replaced another unit that burned out (spend the money on the Battery Tender - my other unit was only about $30 - and it worked horribly). Even though I drive about once a week, I like to keep it under trickle when parked...
