Windshield replacement-an observation

Had the 79SC windshield replaced yesterday.......it was amazing
how they removed it -- 2 hands inside the windshield, a big PUSH and out it popped. Removed the aluminum pinch trim and a push.
Out in 2 minutes.

You forgot the "replacement" component...

This part takes just a "tad" longer"....

Craig, Who did you have remove it? You're lucky the windshield didn't shatter as most do due to age and brittleness of the glass. Be sure if you are reinstalling it yourself to preassemble the entire glass, rubber seal and exterior trim before the sub-assembly is roped or corded back onto the car.

The poor guy wrestled with the new rubber gasket for an hour...is coming back today to finish it. Pretty cold outside!

Luckily he has done hundreds of 911s..........just not usually out in 32 deg weather!
