Winter Project
So I posted my "modified" '68 Targa for sale and got only one sarcastic comment. So over the Xmas break, I had some time on my hands a few extra parts from assorted projects, and this is what happened....

Wow, a V8 in a SWB car? You've got some jewels!

I have been searching for a real replacement motor, when the v8 fell into my lap. Only real modification to the car for the swap was cutting an opening for the radiator, which I can ultimately put a front mounted oil cooler when I find, rebuild and install a NA 3.0.
Figure for the short term, I can play w/ the v8 and take my time in acquiring and re-building the 3.0. ![]()

Yeah thats a big unknown, luckily I have two at home one 4spd and one 5spd. Some of the v8 conversion guys have had good luck w/ rebuilts, others not so lucky. Really doubt I will be slamming the gears too much in a swb car.
