Chip upgrade
Hi everyone!
Has anyone used or or is using a Steve Wong computer chip in a 84-86 3.2. What are your impressions? Can you order them from Steve, or does Pelican have them? Thanks for any advice. Larry Harris |
Do a search, everyone loves them. Order from Steve. His site is loaded with testimonials.

I am working with Steve on my chip setup right now and he is a decent guy to deal with. Good realistic gains to be made with his chip in my opinion, as the factory chip in our vintage car (84-86) is programmed very conservatively and for use with 87 octane fuel. If you plan to do any other mods, like exhaust work especially, good time to do that as one of the things attractive about Steve is that his chips are all tweaked this way or that way depending on your setup and modifications.
I have snow in the driveway and the engine out, bummer...my chip is installed, but I can't use it til' April. Order directly from Steve at the 911chips.com site. -BG |
I have been very happy with the service Steve provides and his product in my '88.
My recent purchase, a '78 with a '85 3.2, will also see Steve's magic but it may be a while untill it's ready.......see http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/139414-questions-about-3-2-sc-post1080033.html#post1080033 Craig 88 Club Sport - See it at: http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/pmpre/pm.cgi?login=88_Club_Sport&ID=123515&ID=123515&act ion=display 95 Ducati 900ss 77 Yamaha RD 400….. the wheelie machine |
My Steve Wong chip has arrived and I can't wait for the Christmas break to install it.

Why wait for the christmas break? I fitted mine a couple days ago. I am NO mechanic, but it only took 20 minutes! Get out there in your lunch-break and prepare to grin all the way home! :)
