Less dirt = better airflow + less heat = longer engine life, at least that's what I tell my wife when I hear the "are you working on your car again?" chant

On this side of the pond, we have rather restrictive speed limits. We can't show our cars off by driving fast, so instead we polish our engines. It's not an ideal compromise.

Polish it!!

Paint does not last!! I'm sure powder coating is more durable, but polishing works really well. I polished mine first, then when I had all my engine tin powder coated I painted my fan black (forgot to include it in the stuff to get powder coated) Lasted about a year before I polished it again.

This was before I painted the alternator strap and added the "Porsche" wording on top. I'll grab a shot tonight of the new look and post it later.
