My only complaint about the V-1, (from what I've read), is that it cannot be mounted remotely, is this true? Seems like the slickest set-up to me would be to have it permanently mounted and hidden, (as opposed to stuck on the w/s with a curly power cord to the cig lighter, to "70's" for me).

V1, no question. It's the only game in town!

Me and my V-1 and a Explorer II speeding down I-5 with no traffic late at night and I come bearing down on a unmarked state trooper at 90+, hit the brakes at the sight of the WSP at the end of the license plate, no radar but I bet he was waiting for me to blow by him. I immediately took the next exit and stopped to take a break.
A pair of night vision goggles would have helped see him.

V1. Well worth the investment; performance is second to none.

You do need to drive smart with one -- the little dude won't make you invisible.

It's amazing how many troopers/police still use always-on radar vs. instant on.

Cheers!

C.
