Finally at my destination!!!!
Well guys, it's been a month or so since I last posted. By the way, the hard starting problem with my 911 ended up being a bad fuel accumulator. Two months of screwing around trying to troubleshoot that thing and it ended up being a $130 part and about 1/2 hour of labor. Finally got it running about 2 or 3 days before I had to put it on the boat and begin it's trip from Hawaii to Florida. I separated from the Navy on November 16 after 10 years of service and my wife finished up her Ph.D. the week before that. We had her car shipped to California and spent the past month driving across the country staying with friends and family along the way. Put 5700 miles on my wife's Pontiac Vibe. Proved to be a good little car, but I don't think my butt will be the same after that trip. Now were in Florida, staying in an empty apartment that my sister owns. We're in good financial shape so we're taking our time looking for jobs. Have had several interviews already, so will probably have something lined up by mid-January.
To get this post back on a Porsche focus, I just want to say that I'm looking forward to going to Orlando next week and picking up my 911. Hope the shipper didn't destroy it! I am really looking forward to being back on the mainland and having the chance to meet up with some of you in the future. Hope you all have a joyous holiday season!

Definatley a cool story!
I love visiting Hawaii, but I think I would go nuts not being able to just get in and drive for hundreds of miles. |

We were hoping the holidays would be calm, but I attended a hiring conference two weeks ago in Atlanta. Had a second interview for a job in Georgia, which they flew me to last week. Sounds like they are going to make a decision before the end of the year. Haven't even had enough time to look for a job in Florida yet.
Took keep this centered on P-cars, just wanted to say that I thought there would be more of them driving around Florida. Can honestly say that Hawaii probably had more luxury and sports cars running around per capita than any other state I've been in. With ridiculously high real estate costs, most people have no chance of buying property, so they just dump their money into cars and clothes. Every 21 year old has a new BMW or Lexus leased.

Welcome to the mainland, Corey!
Last time I was in Maui, you could rent a 911 for a hundred bucks a day, or a big twin Harley for $110. for half a day. Needless to say, I drove the 911 to Hana! What a great drive!
