stalling problem

O.K its winter and its cold..very cold. My Porsche reminds me just how cold it is every time I dip the clutch when stopping.

After the choke has kicked in and the idling resumes to a steady 900 - when I dip the clutch, she wants to stall and often does. Occasionally she will burst in to life after the battery light has come on!
After a good 20 minute "warm up drive" the problem complete goes.

Should I alter the idle? (eventhough when warm there is not a problem) - if so, how do I do this.

or

Should I clean the idle valve housing - is so, how do I do this.

Not gonna sound very helpful but do a search - there really is loads of stuff on here about 3.2 idle problems.

I experience the same thing on my 3.2. I intend to play with idle adjustment as a first step.

Sounds like another case of the rich idle syndrome.

I have a friend who has a Jaguar XJ6 which has a similar fuel injection system and he had warm-up stalling. We solved his problem by putting a 15000 ohm variable resistor in parallel with what would be the head temp sensor on a 911. He could then adjust the cold richness by making the fuel injection system think the engine was warmer than it was.
