To keep this on topic
![]() Any other suggestions? Price is of importance and the idea is to trailer it with something like a Toyota 4Runner or LandCruiser. Any other suggestions as to what enclosed "thing" to use to transport a car, tools, and at least a spare set of wheels? Thanks in advance for the suggestions! ![]()

The trailer in your link is 28 footer. I think you'd be hard pressed to pull that with a 4runner. In addition to the weight of the trailer, you also need to look at frontal and side area. The frontal area will matter at highway speed where a Toyota may not be able to handle it. The side area will matter in a strong wind where the trailer can whip a light vehicle around.
For autocross and kart racing we use a 24' enclosed Haulmark trailer. I can pull it will my 1/2 ton truck, but you can tell the truck is struggling. We usually use my friend's Diesel Excursion. I'd recommend buying a trailer with cabinets already installed. Usually the cost of the installed cabinets is about what you'd pay just for the material.

Cabinets will be installed when we get them (we are getting two trailers). Thanks for the suggestion on the tow vehicle. According to the manufacturer, it should work OK. The race cars each weigh 2300 lbs, plus spares, plus tools, plus etc!
The track is about 80 miles away and the road is quite hilly. Not too many winds. Typical highway speeds down here would be near 60mph.

My brother and I just used a Laulmark 24' trailer hooked to his Mercury Mountaineer to move him to a new house. The trailer was very nice and easy to use and haul. I can see how this trailer would work well for hauling a Porsche to/from the track...
