Question Carrera AC front condensor blower motor question...

Hi-

Curious if anyone knows if the Bosch motor in the evap coil box happens to be the same motor that is in the front condensor blower up by the front bumper. The one up front fried and I need to replace it. I don't need a new housing and cage fan, just the motor. The Bosch motor lacks a Bosch part number on it.

Thanks-
BG

Do a search on this and hope you will find a post from Colin in Toronto. He did his and got the Bosch part number that can be bought over the counter for about 75% less than Porsche sells them for.

Hope you have the fuse in-line with the front motor. Several cars have burned up without the fuse and the factory started putting one in-line to protect it.

BG if you don't find the motor you need, let me know. I pulled the AC in my '86 and will make you a good deal on the motor.

Kurt-

I'm gonna try and locate one new for cheap using the Bosch number I found in the archives to cross ref.

But PM me your price for the motor or the blower complete, I'm on a budget but interested. I'll let you know either way what I decide to do.

Thanks-
BG

BG,

Its just a 15 amp fuse inline to the fan motor. The real Porsche upgrade harness & fuse costs around $20 and is a 1 minute operation. You can do this (I did) or make one up but its well worth having the fuse. Hate to see something burn over this!
