Early Recaro fixed buckets
Just bought a pair of these seats which I think are early Recaros but there are no logos or other identifying marks on them.
Can any of the early seat 'experts' (Eric Linden, Randy Wells, et al) shed any light on them ? They are in pretty good condition & very light - they were fitted in a plane!! & this is a comparison shot with a new Bielstein 'period' seat: Andy '69 911E------->R |

Nice find!
The differences that I see between mine and yours would be: - Mine have shorter tubes for the head rest mounts and a horizontal brace molded in between the tubes - Mine have no grommets in the fiberglass shell itself - Mine have a long seat base mount on each side rather than 4 smaller feet. If they are Recaros (and they do look like) it I'd put them between '68 and '70 - They have headrest mounts - early ones didn't - But they also have the grommets in the shell - later ones didn't Regards, Andrew M
