Just a thought, most of us with open top cars would like more rigidity. Looking at some interior pics of the CGT which is known to be quite rigid gave me an idea. It would probably only be attractive to guys who are willing to go against the norm and/or try new things (Thom F).
What about a reinforcement from the center tunnel towards the back of the car to someplace on/under the dash? Would possibly even be able to relocate the shifter higher to be more CGT-like. I think this might be a bit of an engineering nightmare, but could be interesting if well done.

I dont think the dash is strong enough you would have to put a bar going behind the dash connecting to the door post, if your going that far probably should just cage it, Kevin

I always had a tickel to install a low key roll bar.. Then maybe a mirror placement adjustment. I've seen one unit that was a bolt in and the top bar was high to not be a problem...
