need just a bit more help with brakes.

first off, merry Christmas.

i just finished rebuilding all my calipers. since i was there i also took everyone's advice and changed the rubber hoses too. i replaced with OEM. i went around 3 times with my motive power bleeder and seemed to clear up all the bubbles. then i got my girlfriend to work the pedal and i went around twice. MY brake pedal remains sorta spongy. i can pump it up hard, but it gets spongy again. i put my tires on so i can take some very careful runs around the neighborhood, so i can heat things up a bit. maybe i can work some more bubbles loose. my brake pads were brand new looking so i just put them on the same side of the caliper as i found them. what am i missing or doing wrong? historically i am not known for my brake bleeding skills.

thanks guys.

It will take a whole for the pistons to get themselves situated in the bores. Drive gently for a few days, you'll feel them come back to life.
