Project Gotham 2

Well Santa brought me PG2 for xmas...I love the game!

After about 6 hours on the xbox yesterday I was all the way to the Ultimate Class (Has the Carrera GT) and my stable also includes:

Carrera GT
GT2
GT3
Carrera (996)
Carrera RS (2.7)
Cayenne Turbo

Just need more Kudos for the GT1 and the 959

Sweet, everytime I see the adds on TV, I think, I should have that one, but I don't have a console, sooo....

I'll just stick with GTR2002, NFS PU, and GPL.

Doh...just need an Xbox then. Any PC driving games good for on-line play? We could have a Pelican Championship.

I just got a Japanese version GT4 "Prologue". I like the physics of it the most. Plus, there are new race tracks like Grand Canyon. Can't wait the full version release.

Agreed, I'm hooked on this game and a lot of the sounds are my friends 300ZX twinturbo (specifically the blow-off valve noises). It's a solid game if you don't let the uber-riciness get to you.

The Nurburgring is awesome, so I can get practice laps in before they open up this season! Ha Ha

yeah, i've raced alot of cars on the game. my favorite has got to be 993 gt2. i can get laps in it at about the same times as the ultimate class. it's got so much power but once you learn to control it, it can do so much. the carrera 3.0 has got to be the best "feeling" car. problem is that they don't have it at the BX and the xbox rep said he doesn't know when/if it'll ever get here. i'll have to order it.

I have money around and I can pick up an XBOX for $130. I am thinking about buying an XBOX and PGR2. Is it a good idea?

PGR2 Rocks!

I could vouch that the recording on the 2.7RS was taken off a real one in the UK.

Shameless plug, i was on the team that made it

Very cool...I race one decked in yellow/black, much like my bastard! Ha Ha

Ok...what do I have to do for unlocking the GT-1?

Ya know,
I really disliked PGR1 so I was determined not to buy PGR2. The first version was way to arcade like and I felt the cars didn't handle correctly. I came from the GT series on PS where you could change everything on the cars and set them up to handle etc...

But after this thread I decided to give it a shot.

HOLY CRAP! PGR2 IS GOOD!

I took the old 73 RS out for a Test Drive and was amazed. It sounds right and more importantly it handles right. Lift off that throttle in a high speed turn and you're looking the other way I also love how it backfires! Very cool indeed.

I only played for an hour or so but noticed huge improvements on realism. You can actually trail brake!

Anyway,
not quite the real thing and still not as nice as the GT series on PS2 IMHO, but a very good game I plan to kill lots of winter days playing.

Thanks,
Pat

HD, you have to earn the GT1, there are no cheats in this game.

The guy that tuned the cars in the game used to race 911s and 928s and i gave him more than my share of how i think a 911 should handle

no GT-1 yet...I have completed all levels a second time to earn all bronze, and I think I will have to do them all two more times or until I have Platinum on all levels! Sheese....hours and hours of work to get that car. BTW the 959 is crap on this game...guess they had to downplay it so the GT (Carrera, 1, 2, & 3) series cars would be more fun.

In PG2 the 2.7 is by far the most fun to drive. It sticks like glue through corners and drifts are the most predictable with it. I just played it at a friends house, and was on xbox live. I schooled some kid in an enzo with a gt2
