La Jolla Audio in San Diego
For a Christmas present this year my wife is giving me an alarm for the p-car. (Sigh, have I mentioned how wonderful she is?) Have any of you San Diego folks ever used La Jolla Audio? They advertise in the local PCA magazine but I don't know anyone that's ever had them do anything on their 911.
Thanks for sharing your experience.

Thank your wife but tell her you'll take the money and spend it on something else. If you're looking for great way to screw up your 15 year old wiring, have someone install an aftermarket alarm.
Don't do it.

Best bet, IMO, is a hidden kill switch, i.e. a button that needs to be pressed before one turns the key to start.
The above saved my previous C2 Cab from being taken from my office lot. The potential thief popped out the ignition "cylinder" and tried to use a flat head screwdriver to start her up - no dice! It is amazing how easy an early 911 is to steal once one gets that ignition tumbler popped out. Forget about other "alarms" and such and find a good place to put your ignition button. Good luck and keep that wife! ![]() BR, Kurt from Rancho Santa Fe |

La Jolla audio has a good rep with the SD PCA.
I would trust them for an alarm install in my 911. |
