Aside from being beautiful and making me sick because I want an 89 real bad, the car may need re-sealed and many other things if it hasn't been ran regularly.

He's selling the whole collection due to the new wife:

"This car is part of my personal collection of seven Porsches, including a GT3RS Cup, a numbered '82 prototype cabrio built by Karmann-Versailles, a '55 Spyder, '78 #9 Vesche-Cup Martini-Rossi 935 (took 1st-Daytona, Sebring, IMSA), the '86 Paris-Dakar (#2) 959 and (formerly) Bruce Willis' concours '59 356A Speedster"

That must be one HELL of a wife ..........

I agree, i dont know if i would buy a car like that and start driving it. I think it needs to stay "not driven".

Any wife that makes you sell a collection like that is not worth it IMHO.

I'm looking to get rid of the wife and buy a '89 Turbo.....I think this guy is misdirected. It seems his priorities are screwed up.

Nice car. However, what kind of wife would make her husband sell his entire Porsche collection? And what kind of sorry pussy whipped fool would do it?

I wonder what she'll make him sell next. I'd get rid of her.

I tried to sell a car like this for a friend on Ebay. 89 turbo with 999 miles. Inside still smelled new, it was showroom perfect in every way. he wanted $65,000 for it. You wouldn't believe the number of people who wanted to pay/thought it was worth $35K to $40K.

I am not sure it was worth $65K (he still has it) but definitely in the high 50s.

From the description, "*Note* Pictured exhaust tip not original-Original exhaust tip currently on car. Tried a 4" resonating tip on the car to see how it sounded."

I'm not sure I believe this...why would the guy have put an aftermarket exhaust on a car he would never drive???

Selling the whole collection because he's getting married? Yeah, right. Sounds like B.S.

He's a loser over 15 years and thats not even taking into consideration putting the money in a risk free bond situation or the stock market.

He's a loser alright. And not just on the "investment" you speak of. He's also a loser for allowing some bimbo to talk him into selling his collection.

I have to agree with Sean. This guy is obviously a Porsche fanatic (or presents himself as one) and I just don't see some guy that is this into Porsches allowing some broad to talk him into selling them. This smells of BS.
