I believe they mumbled something about "ground clearance" and "shredded fiberglass".

If I had a bigger budget, I'd build the car on the top...although the engine takes some $$$ to replicate. Aggressive cams, MFI, other tweaks to get the 3L to 250bhp @ 6800rpm. Engine tha gearbox coolers in the rear decklid. Starting with a stock SC.

This is not to be confused with the SCRS (type 954). Evidently 20 of them were built. Heads from a 935, 10.3:1 compressions ratio, 250bhp @ 7K, 7600rpm redline, although you could tune it to 280bhp. Rally version had oil coolers in both fender wells. 40% LSD, coils springs over Bilsteins, weight 2330lbs

yeah, if the back seats are stripped out and the passenger seat rails are extended forward, you could haul plenty of stuff in the back.

hmmm....

Love the pictures! Speaking of SCRS, I posted this on the engine rebuild thread without much response....does anyoneone besides me think this engine is a 930/18 (SCRS..wistful thinking) or is it a 930/16 (SC)? In person, it clearly looks like an 18. This is a close-up:

Did somebody say short nose duck?

Ohh, and your comment about the horn begging to be hit by a rock or "concrete" was funny! LOL

Thanks! I've not seen many 930/16s and no 930/18s so didn't know...just hoping since the bottom ends of the engine are basically the same. Wonder why they make the other digits so much clearer?...seems the 6 ought to look like the 9 upside down.
