Need Help Testing New Pages On Site...

I'm planning on uploading all of these tonite, please help me out by taking a look at these, and let me know if you see any problems...

http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/911M/POR_911M_brakes_pg1.htm

Broken images, links bad, something screwy, etc. It should work fine on Netscape, although the font size is a bit small (I have that on my list).

Thanks!

Why is the right side "A" front caliper more expensive than the left? Is this a typo? I ask because I notice that the carrera calipers are the same price for either side. Same thing for the listing of the rears.

Looks good on both IE 6 and Mozilla. I like the design a lot!

Dunno - this is from the factory pricing - one must wear out faster than the other or something like that.

Thanks,

Wayne

Looks good Wayne. When you first talked about refreshing the site, I though naw don't change a good thing. But now I can see how it has become dated.

My only other question is you mentioned something about 2004 being the year of the parts wizard. Are you still going this way and just not with brakes? Or will we see something later?

Yes, 2004 should bring about a wizard for each catalog section:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/911M_catalog.htm

I've got a sharp, new guy with lots of enthusiasm and ideas (Eugene), and as soon as he earns his stripes on making updates and changes (and adding all of those new products we're currently missing), he'll be starting on making Wizards!

See, I told you guys I wasn't going to forget about the Porsche side (after working on DriveWerks).

:)

Don't count your chickens - the tabs and rollovers are still coming in the future. It's just that the pages that the tabs and rollovers go to aren't created yet.

I'm going to be redesigning the whole site over the next few months. Like painting your house, the site will slowly change here and there, one day at a time. This catalog section is the first thing that needs to be done. Then, we'll start working on the main pages, and in-between, the search engine. Finally, the last thing will probably be the home page.

Wayne, what about the left side of this:

Pelican Parts Maintenance Kits
Back to Main

TuneUp 911
TuneUp 911
TuneUp 911

Why are all of these the same? Seems strange to me.

12own911 12-29-2003 03:52 PM

I also received this after checking out an empty shopping cart:

ERROR!!! PAGE NOT FOUND!!!

I embraced my lesbian sexuality years ago.

When I click on the photo for the Turbo master cylinder, I get this image:

i like the new method to flip pages at the bottom. should be quicker, although it looks like you have everything covered on the lefts side. funny thing considering i was planning on ordering some brake stuff tonight.

How do you get to your Project List from the new pages? On the old pages there was a prominent link from the bottom of all the catalog pages, but I don't see anything on the new one.

I also still think "Back" roadsign should be "Previous" instead so people won't get that confused with the back button.

Cool! Well, if you guys are giving the big thumbs up, then I will start the generation and upload process for the rest of the catalog.

Thanks again for your feedback and support!

Two very good comments. I hadn't thought about the project list. I will add some links in there somewhere.

I am working on the back button / previous page thing. I think I will change the wording...

Thanks,

Wayne

Ed is spot on. The cart and project list should be *very* easy to find on every page, as should the search box.

man just think of the consultant fees you're saving. Of course that is offset by the bbs overhead, but hey, you only live once.

But we're more fun than consultants. ;)

Looks fine on I.E.
Perf. Prod. used to list the L and R alloy caliper at two slightly different prices. Perhaps after one is side is developed the other side is a little bit cheaper to tool up.
