Adventures in oil cooling - relocating my front cooler

I've finally started work again on re-working my front oil cooler. I decided that I can't put it in the trunk (for now) and duct the air over the hood, so I instead I raised it 2.5" and added ducting out the side of the box. I used some pieces of 3" tubing to create a path through the trunk into the fenderwell. I'm not competent in CFD - and could never hope to be - but what I'm shooting for is to get a slight venturi effect with these pipes used in conjunction with the RS brake ducts in the bumpers.

I realize this setup won't give me nearly as much airflow as the IROC setup with the low-mounted cooler, but I really don't want to have to keep replacing coolers!

I'll fab up some sort of ducting to get as much air into the cooler as I can, and I might even take the hole saw to the front bumper in the license plate area.

You can see all of the pix @

As always, comments and suggestions are welcome.

Your ability never ceases to amaze me Thom! I may have to pick your brain over the winter for my cooler project.

Arrg! The maroon that runs the server keeps setting the perms on the /www directory to 000 - so none of the web sites that run on that box are visible. Must be the "new math" of security...

Of course, I don't have root on this box...
