Need help with intake runner I.D. for '81-83 Euro SC engine
Euro SC owners - can any of you do me a favor and tell me if "2R" or "4R" is stamped on your front-most right-side intake runner?
I'm wondering one two things based on the Euro SC engine: 1) If 4R signifies the larger intakes. I think it does, right? 2) If stock Euro SC engines were equipped with these larger intakes. Thanks. |
My car is an 83 euro, and yes the intake does have a 4R at the end of the part number.. Hope that helps!

Ditto, 4R here too on a stock 930/10
I have always heard that the 930/10 motor has larger ports and runners (like 78-79 US spec). No proof though, just what I've always heard. |
Casey,
I have '79euro, '80euro, and '83euro heads. All of them have the larger 39mm intake ports. And yes, all of the euro's came with the larger 4R intake runners. -Rob 1980sc |
So we have the official 'King of The SC's'

Learn something new every day here. It's a crappy picture but the last 2 digits look like 4R.
