Interior restoration
Hi there
I'm based in South Island New Zealand have a 1974 car that need some interior restoration (seats need work, door cloth panels replaced and new carpets). There is a very good local network of car restorers but I would like to restore back to original - but I am not sure if is this possible or even worthwhile. A couple of questions then if possible - where can I get hold of original materials (in particular cloths) Is it worth it? How much added value would the car have restored with original trimming, compared to new Thoughts and advice would be gratefully received Andrew BTW Happy motoring in 2004

IMO as long as you use the same type of material, I don't think you will deminish the value any.
As for the original materials try this place: Southbound Motor Trimmers Address: Little Dean Yard London Road STOCKBRIDGE, Hampshire SO20 6EL Map: click here Phone: 01264810080 The profile a lot of their work in 911 & Porsche magazine |

Thanks Makaio
I've been on the Web and emailed South Bound Trimmers in the UK. I've also been to the Tweeks site (a suggestion from Oz). Here's hoping TX again Andrew

I would use Pelican before Tweeks for any carpet or other materials, unless it's factory stuff like the 70's plaid interior you're looking for. That's why I recommended South Bound.
