What's This Hole For?
I removed my bumper pads and valence and discovered a large threaded hole on the driver side behind the pad. From inside the car there is a large square block with about a 3/4" threaded hole through it going through the bumper. I was considering not putting the pads back on until I found this. What is it for?

I'm curious as well. Shouldn't be for the tow hook eye, because you couldn't acess it with the pad on.

Looks stock, but my '86 bumper doesn't have that hole.

Yep, tow hook, the US models discontinued it in the mid 80's since the bumper pads covered it.
