Thoughts on this wheel?

Don't worry... Leland isn't going to get rid of the fuchs.

...not this time 'round.

But these suckers caught my eye.
I've never seen a 996 with these before... but I don't claim to give a flip about the 996.

Anyway, they look nice to me... true two piece... 17"... 7.5" and 9"

Dang! I was gonna give you $400 shipped for your clunky unsexy 70s style OEM wheels.

It is quick and dirty but something to look at.

It does not do anything for me as if that mattered.

Nah, your right...
It was more of a "hey, I've never seen those wheels before" thing.

I like them... just not on my car.
Thanks for the illustration, Gary.
Oh and yes, the nic-name refers to the color.
My wife calls me smokey and I call the car smokey.

I likey! Despite detail on the perimeter, seems easy enough to clean as well.

I have them on my 928 and I love them. However, they are kind of heavy. They clean up quickly and look great. I have seen them on 964s and 993s and I don't care for them. They look good on 928s, Boxsters, and 944s.

Thumbs down NOT

Too "techie" for such a classic. Good luck, Wheels do make the car no matter what make or model. John

Well, I thought they looked cool until I realized I don't really care for them.
They do look good on 928's though.
But not 2nd gen 911s.

And besides, now I can splash that money on a 52" RCA widescreen Plasma TV!

Thanks for the opinions, guys

The C2T, or is it called a Cup1, I can never remember, wheel (1 piece, not 3 piece) in gloss black would look great on your car. I saw a set on a 951 in black and they looked fantastic, of course, they'll be tons heavier than the Fuchs, so they will give a little more tread, but for me the weight isn't worth it.
Here they are in body color on a 968
