Thanks to all.
Todd, my gratitude goes to you...and all the pelicans who have served and are serving. Without those who serve, we'd ALL be in a world of hurt.

My vote for Pelican Man of the year goes to SWBSAM.

He's shown unwavoring commitment. He totalled his car, spent days in the hospital and months recovering from his injuries. Yet he bought a replacement before he was even able to drive! All the while he kept a great attitude.

Plus, his talking pictures are freakin' hilarious.

Way to go Sam.

THANKS WAYNE!!
Heh, thanks for the vote of support, but as your evil dictator, I can change the results of any post I don't like!

Thus, I am ineligible for this contest. I would cast my vote for Jack as well...

I've only just now awakened from the great 2003-2004 binge to learn that there's this here great popularity contest been going on...OK... Jack 'n BB2, good guys! Wayne, noblesse oblige, Nostatic's a personal favorite of mine (why? I don't frigging know, some affinity born from the grin his posts put on me face!
All in all I think there's no real point in electing a great winner and I vote for the synergic efforts of all posters, togethah, for making this board THE reference on 911 community.

In person I have met two people from Pelican...Harald (Speedster94) and Rick (Rickeolis), and both of them have a major impact on my 911 ownership. Harald get's my vote because he did the 3.6 swap for me without a hitch and that is a feat! I would also like to thank Rick since he is the guy I vent on when things aren't going my way....hmm I guess Eric McKenna get's a thank you as well since I do ***** quite often to him.

A popularity contest , just like in high school. You need to have categories to be consistant with the high scool theme.

ex Funniest, Most Amusing, Most informative, Most Patient, Best read, best pics, Most helpfull on a consistant you get the idea

Yep, SWBSAM's talking pics are hilarious.

Looks like I should visit the OT forum more often.

Nostatic is hilarious even without talking pics.

Island's name is Glenn and he's not nearly as grumpy in person.

MOTY should probably be Superman, for obvious reasons. Sure, Jack's a humble hard working generous genius with a world class custom car and boyish-but-rugged good looks, but I still like to criticize him every way I can. kidding.

I think we've got several legitimate MOTY candidates. Many. There are some really gentle, helpful and considerate people on The Board. Thank you all. Life would be more gray without you.

I'm going to nominate myself for "Most Ornery Moderator", and Warren Hall for the Lifetime Achievement award.

Jack wins Man of the Year, of course.

I'll say BIG thanks to DD74 (David) for spearheading the Oct 18th drive and an eqully BIG thanks to Jack for letting me ride with him. That was the Porsche highlight of my year. 2003 started out on a low note with the selling of my 911. If things go as planned, I should be behind the wheel of my "next" by the end of '04. Wish me luck!

And an Honorable mention to everyone else on the board for all their contributions, laughs and insight!

Now, where was that 'favorite butt' thread....

my vote goes to Nostatic! i like his sarcasm and wit ALOT, and his writing ability to back it up even better. plus he is knee deep in the bennett 911 project.
