Can I use wheel spacers?

I have a stock set of 16" 6/7's on my 86 coupe. I don't think the car has been lowered [if it has, not by much]. The front fenders are rolled.

Can I use spacers to fill out the wheel wells a bit? If so, what size without needing new studs?

thanks

Yes, but it's not the best way to go.

I had 1" adapters (spacers with studs that are bolted to factory studs) to fill out my flares. They looked good with no rubbing issues, but they did throw off the camber a bit. I finally found a good deal on a set of 8s for the rear so I no longer need them.

Spacers will not have any effect on camber. They may make it more visible to the eye because the wheel is now closer to the body so you have a visual refernce to see the camber. I run H+R 21mm spacers with 16x7 on the rear of my 84. Works quite well.

Unless longer studs are installed spacers are often not allowed to run DEs
