Anyone in the SoCal area doing a weekend Engine Drop in the near future?
Hello! I have never attended an "Engine Drop Clinic." I am hoping that someone in the SoCal area will be doing so in the near future. I have read all of the "Drop" threads, but nothing like seeing one done. I more than want to attend one before attempting to "drop the diapers" on mine....Thanks in advance!!!

You have diapers under your decklid? Those may be the problem, not the engine....

Should have asked two weeks ago when I dropped mine. I coulda used th moral support and someone to hold the beer
If all the parts I bought show up before the first I may even be putting it back in this weekend. |

Mike, it sounds like you are perfect for the job. If you can spot a socket as it rolls off to hide who knows where, you're hired

Ryan:
I'm planning on attending the TRE New Year's Day run. If the clutch goes belly-up or feels like it's about to do so, I may have an engine drop in my future. Keep your fingers crossed (one way, or the other. )Scott

![]() My parts have finally all arrived so Jim's jack should be available for him to lend out late Sunday nite if all goes well. Be forewarned about engine drops, my clutch job has led to a plethora of new parts: 1. new fan and housing 2. sound pad 3. engine compartment seal 4. turbo supply line 5. torsion bearing 6. billet SC cams and all necessary installation tools (Well... the chain housing covers were leaking!) 7. Disc Brake Clock (since I was ordering parts anyway.) |

Speeder/Denis,
I was side-swiped, rear-ended, then rear-ended again by an SUV on my motorcycle. Now the CHP stated in his report that it was 50% my fault, although the SUV tried to get out the carpool lane (while I was lane-sharing) over a solid white, double-solid yellow lines. I just had my 2nd epidural/cordizone shot yesterday morning and as always, I was told to limit my activities for a while. I NEED A GOOD MOTORCYCLE ATTORNEY!!!!!!!! waaaaaah! waaaaag! |

And you are still alive? What kind of riding gears were you on? Arai + Aerostitch? I am a rider myself. I know what's the best gear.

Shoei! Leather pants (generic), CF gloves, TourMaster jacket or my Clover jacket (can't remember).
Though the rear-ends caused wheelies, nobody believed that I did not fall. Having logged 12K+ miles in the canyons must have helped. Last edited by cab83_750; 12-31-2003 at 11:48 AM.. |
