spacer needed on turbo tie rod?
I am installing turbo tie rods and when I put the turbo rods with spacer next to the old ones with the they seem too long. How do I know if I need the spacer?
It looks like the new turbo rods will have too much toe out and it will not be adjustable at the alignment shop. Thanks in advance. 84 Carrera Targa |

I think you'll find that without the spacers the rods will bottom out in the rack and won't tighten properly.
Cheers, Tim.

yes, use the spacers!!
Do a search as others have left them out and scratched their heads wondering why their steering racks kept failing.
