spacer needed on turbo tie rod?

I am installing turbo tie rods and when I put the turbo rods with spacer next to the old ones with the they seem too long. How do I know if I need the spacer?
It looks like the new turbo rods will have too much toe out and it will not be adjustable at the alignment shop.

I think you'll find that without the spacers the rods will bottom out in the rack and won't tighten properly.

yes, use the spacers!!

Do a search as others have left them out and scratched their heads wondering why their steering racks kept failing.
