Emergency Brake

Can someone shed some light on how to remove the emergency brake from the rear hub? I messed with it for a bit last night but I couldn't figure it out and I don't know where my book went.

Four bolts. Same four that hold the bearing retainer on the arm. The ebrake backing plate will be stuck to the arm, knock it off with a rubber hammer.

Milt, he wants to remove the cable (hard to figure that out from the question).

Remove the caliper, remove the brake disc, and then you can get to the cotter pin and nut on the end of the cable.

If much rust is present ... getting off the rear rotors can be a real pain! There are two countersunk slotted M6 screws that can probably only be removed by using a very tight, precise-fitting drive bit on a 'hammer' type impact driver usually sold at motorcycle shops!
