Photoshop help needed for my 911

I've bought a set of these decals...

http://i14.ebayimg.com/03/i/00/96/b0/f8_1.JPG

... and was planning on putting them on this car...

http://gallery.rennlist.com/albums/D...911A.sized.jpg

... but now I'm thinking I'd like them better on this car...

http://gallery.rennlist.com/albums/Wind/912a.jpg

... can any one with Photoshop expertise slap the stripes on the cars so I can see how they each look? Many thanks! :)

the rocker panel trim makes this an awkward placement. they would look great on the other car.

Thanks guys! I actually quite like them on the 911 but the 912 looks amazing... perhaps I need to buy another set! :D

exc911ence,

I know it's none of my business but what the hell, I feel I have to - please don't do this to your 912 - it is one of the best looking cars on this board and is far too pretty for 'stickers'. Besides, it would cover up that gorgeous paint.

NO.

Yeah, the car looks amazing as is. I wouldn't muck with it if it was my car........but it aint. :)

Guys, I'm blushing! To think that of all the gorgeous cars on this board, my mere 912 stands out. What about BB2? It's got the same decals!

I may have to plaster the decals on the silver thing then! :)

Beautiful car...id leave it alone. :)

bob tilton 01-09-2004 08:26 PM

you sure you're not going to add decals?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1073711871.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1073712322.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1073712332.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1073712340.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1073712349.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1073712358.jpg

I was still going to put them on the 912 but wasn't going to tell anyone.... shh! But now that I see how common they are... :p

Any more decalage pics? :)

Por_sha911 01-09-2004 09:08 PM

The cars are beautiful. Do as you think best but IMHO:
"Decals? We don't need no stinkin decals"

exc911ence 01-09-2004 09:12 PM

Well, no matter how beautiful something (or someone) is, you do tend to get bored after awhile... a decal is better than a set of Turbo flares and a GT2 spoiler, right? :)

Por_sha911 01-09-2004 09:41 PM

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" (Or in this case, title holder).
BTW, would a GT2 spoiler help someone's looks out?

Britain Smith 01-09-2004 09:47 PM

As a fellow 912 owner...don't put the sticker on that beautiful paint.

Just for kicks, someone photoshop the sticker on my car to see how it would look.

I say try it on the 912. The nice thing about decals is can take them off any time you'd like.

I don't have Photoshop...but I can use MS Paint!

http://www.threepointsix.net/Car01a_JPG.jpg

I did a few other things for fun while I was at it...slammed and 17's mounted.

Britain Smith 01-10-2004 12:47 AM

I thought it was already slammed...but whoaa!

I like the tinted windows also...I would never do it, but it still looks cool.

Let me know when they come out with 17" fuchs.

Thanks for the work...

Off-topic, but as good a thread as any to ask ...

Can any of the resident Photoshop experts point me to a tutorial on how to use it to change the colour of a car? I can dab paint over it, but I've seen pics where people are seemingly remapping a colour.

Many thanks!

Ben
