930 trailing arms?
Will 930 trailing arms bolt onto a 74-89 911?
I am doing a wide body conversion and I don't like the way it looks with spacers. My rear brakes sit to far in and it makes the turbo twists look silly. Also t the 930 trailing arm will have more stability because of the bearing setup. I have heard that putting spacers on a standard trailing arm with these wheels can cause or accelerate wear on the bearings. Thanks Matt |

Not w/o changing the mounting points on the torque tube. Smart racing sells the modified mounts.

I am sorry. When you say mounting points on torque tubes? I am a little lost. I am sure I know what you are refering to just can't place it with the words. Is there a Smart Racing website where I can view the replacement points?
Thanks Matt |

If I was originally going to put 993 brakes on this car(allready bought the set. Will this still work with the 930 trailing arms? And how hard will it be to put them on the 87 stock front suspension?
|
The 'cheap' way to do it is get custom wheels made to fill out the fenders correctly. Some day when I get some cash ahead, that's what I'm going to do.
