Porsche Crest activated carbon container

When do you replace the activated carbon container? Is there a standard interval or just when there are problems (fuel fumes)?

Thanks,
Kees.

Probably around 50,000 miles since a manufacturer is responsible for the emission on a vehicle up to 50,000 miles.

I dunno, but don't rely on the 50k miles msg. The law making manfs. responsible for that time period was passed many years later than when the carbon canisters were installed. I'm not even sure if the canisters were used at all by that time.

Call the dealers service dept. and ask.

Carbon canister to control the release of gasoline fumes into the environment was used as early as the late 60's early 70's.
