will that be "after painting pink fluffy flames on them" or "after Al Reed"?

oh crap...what an idea! I'll have to call Al and tell him to cancel the black/anodized combo.

You mean you're not going to set them on a blanket in the living room, and polish them while you watch TV?

they are 8x16s, and no polishing for me...they are going to be factory black with anodized lips (polished too shiny for my tastes with the silver paint). I don't think I want to do anodizing in the living room...

The charge depends on what all is done to the wheel. Anodizing is more expensive than just polishing.

Sadly, finding a clean 6x16 wasn't as easy/cheap as everyone says it should be. I could get one that needed refinish, but if I'm going to spend the money on that, it seemed like I was better off just getting the 8s and then selling the 6 I've got left (and the other 6 if it can be salvaged for a bigger rim).

Congrats! I recently put 8x16s on my car (polished by Al Reed) and I can't stop staring at them. Such a visual improvement over the 7s in the rear.

so the main benefit of getting 16" is having a better selection of tires? excuse my ignorance, up til now, i only paid attention to truck tires. you know, mud terrains, all terrains...etc.

thanks.

Ahh, the 8's will look better anyway. I know I've said it before, but I think when you get the 8's back and move your 7's up front, you should put the duck back on. I agree that the vailance looked too "large" for your car, but the duck looked great in silver.

Either way, can't wait to see the final product.

They should look great, Todd
Good choice on finish. I'm real happy with the stock look I went back to, And it wasn't really by choice??

Al's good for a story or two if he's got time and like's blues guitar.

actually Diane was telling me some wheel stories while I was there, and lo and behold Rob (woflturbo) called so it was like a mini PelicanParty.
