Carrera script installed!

Well I finally decided to go for it. It might be a little ricer-ish but I think it looks good. I'm still thinking about having the wheels redone in a matching red by Al Reed. ...kind of a pain in the ass to put on... it was only 50 bucks if I did screw it up.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1073867834.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1073867849.jpg

howiee 01-11-2004 03:41 PM

I like it. Don't touch the wheels and spend the money on a duck tail.

Adam 01-11-2004 03:46 PM

It looks great! I really like the red on black.

If you restore the Fuchs, do them red to match the script!

Looks good were did you get them from?

pjv911 01-11-2004 04:24 PM

For $50.00 Id bet it was Ebay.

Yah. I saw it originally on ebay. Its a company called europdr.com. It was 54.99, I think with shipping, and I got them pretty quick.

CARRERIC 01-11-2004 06:04 PM

Nice! Makes the car look right:D

onewhippedpuppy 01-11-2004 06:16 PM

howiee speaks the truth! That car is dying for a duck. That color might be a bit much for your Fuchs, have someone photoshop it first.

350HP930 01-11-2004 06:24 PM

There is nothing ricey about a nice carrera script.

Jack Olsen 01-11-2004 06:28 PM

I agree. It looks good on a black body.

I wouldn't paint the wheels red. I'd paint the caps black (if they aren't already), put on a ducktail, and lower the car a little.

m325ix 01-11-2004 09:05 PM

I like it! Paint the rims red!

NT911 01-11-2004 09:32 PM

Love it, black with red rocks... i'm not sure - keep this one or go the duck?

Nothing rice about that at all. Looks great but I think red wheels might be too much (IMO).

Porsche 01-11-2004 11:13 PM

Beautiful. :) So it's not ricey if your car's not a Carrera? I'm going down this route too. :)

Joe Bob 01-12-2004 06:12 AM

An SC is a super Carrera....just too many words....so just Carrera is OK.

BTW, I also have Carrera graphics....$55.00 and includes a bonus script for the rear...

Joe Bob 01-12-2004 06:15 AM

Of course having the horse power to back it up helps....

Red wheels!

:D

targa911man 01-12-2004 06:50 AM

Very nice. Mine's the opposite, black on red. Haven't had a chance to get pictures yet.

JonT 01-12-2004 07:33 AM

red wheels on black ROCKS

jyl 01-12-2004 07:50 AM

Does anyone have a pic of a Carrera with non-contrasting color Carrera script? I am interested in a "subtle look". My car is Baltic Blue (similar to Venetian Blue) and I was thinking about black or dark blue "negative" script.

In fact, if anyone wants to Photoshop up the look on my car, I'd appreciate it. Here's a pic of the car - the lighting isn't so great, but that's how it realistically looks most of the time so I chose this pic.

Also, is it hard to apply the decal? If you remove it later, is the paint damaged?

Joe Bob 01-12-2004 07:54 AM

I have one of the light blue scripts left.....see above on my white SC.

JonT 01-12-2004 08:11 AM

I'd like to see someone try the 'chome' Carrera script--didn't you say you had something like that Mike?

Joe Bob 01-12-2004 09:36 AM

Yep....still got it.

What about adding an "S" in front of the "C"?

Wickd89 03-10-2007 08:58 AM

Duck tail and paint the rims red. Awesome opportunity!

AvonGil 03-10-2007 09:02 AM

Looks good. Now, the car just needs a proper lowering!

Ha ha! I had these words engraved on an i.d. bracelet that I wore when I was in the Navy.
