Doesn't this seem high for a 911T

1 owner 1969 911T with only 65,743 original miles!. It is an unbelievable little car. The 2.0 liter motor with original factory Webber cars runs like a sewing machine. The interior is one of the best unrestored interiors I have EVER seen. It feels and smells like your are going back 35 years in time when you get in this car and drive it. It is wearing its original color...Irish Green. It was repainted about 25 years ago and the paint has that old car patina. The car has ZERO rust and has never been in an accident. It is a super straight car. The original owner purchased it new in Sept. of 1969 from Bob Holbert Porsche in Warrington, PA and brought it to California in 1975. This car has tons of records, original manuals, tool kit, jack, some very rare sales literature, and even the original mint condition window sticker. EVERYTHING ON THIS CAR WORKS...EVEN THE ORIGINAL BLAUPUNKT RADIO! I can go on and on about this car and I really thought about keep it for myself as a fun weekend cruiser. Unfortunately, money is tight and the wife is a bit freaked out (especially since I didn't tell her I was going to buy it) and I have to sell it. I will consider any serious offers over $16,000. Here are some pics: http://members5.clubphoto.com/paul3...034/guest.phtml

Or am I out of touch with the early 911 market?

It is high but if it's as represented it might be worth it. Low mileage cars of this era are few and far between.

Of couse it says 1 owner, and it's obviously 2 owner.

yes, you're out of touch with the early car market. If it is as advertised, it might actually be a bit underpriced. That's a big if though...

It's just a waiting game. How fast you want to sell or how long you are willing to wait for the right buyer

yup...but as Ryan indicates, with *really* clean early cars, they don't hang around very long. That's usually a case of buyer snoozes, he loses.

Maybe someone can link it. I'm having trouble.

I have this posted on another board but I'll ask it here as well since it's a similar question...Does Anyone have the most recent copy of EXCELLENCE in which they do a market update on the early 911? Obviously these aren't always correct but I would like to know what their numbers are on a 1972 911 E Coupe in " Poor, Good, and Excellent" condition. The last issue I have on this era has this 72 coupe priced at 6447,7339, and 9813 respectively.

BA's numbers seem off on a variety of miles. The 993 prices are supposedly in the 20's but I don't see it. And his early S prices have been notoriously low for years. I'm not sure what is up with the data.

I would guess a clean '72 E would be $15K plus or minus depending on the details.

I'd love an excellent '72 E for $9800

SCVWGUY, if it's as claimed, with all the records and mechanically sound, then $16k is OK. If you want a T and don't plan to mod it, something along these lines is the best way to go. A cheaper car that's not super clean will cost you more in the long run. I'm a little skeptical of people that flip cars like this...ya sure, he bought it w/o telling his wife who subsequently wigged out...right. If his wife has issues with this type of purchase, he damn sure better know it in advance. If you get past the seller's hype on this car and it's really in excellent condition, you should go ahead and pull the trigger (assumes you want an early T).

He says it's a one-owner T, but then he says his wife is freaked out because he bought it.

So I think it's actually a two-owner T.

And you know how those Irish Green owners can be...
