Buying new fuel pump - parts needed?
1986 911 with 205,000 miles...starting to get the 'humming' noises and this week it was very loud sporadically so buying this:
https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/94460810204.htm?pn=944-608-102-04-M14&gclid=Cj0KCQiAgOefBhDgARIsAMhqXA7_AAZPBOWIkkajxKfd 1YVdpT980RT93W--g7NmkS71Oq4kWfFR784aAtsZEALw_wcB After researching I am wondering if I need anything else but what's included for the install of the above pump? Copper washers, etc...? Just installed new fuel filter, so good there. So many variables can cause issues, I see after researching, but the weather has been cool, the tank has been full and I checked inside the tank, best I could (just removed fuel level sensor) and it is impressively clean and clear. I have the car up and doing other work so I am just going to buy new at this point. I am debating on draining the tank and checking the tank screen -but am hoping a visual from the sensor hole and seeing how clean everything was is enough... So, just wanted to verify before I order that I don't need other bits for a proper install... Thanks! Erik

I did mine last fall and didn’t need anything more than that pump (with check valve and crush washer) and another crush washer for the banjo fitting.

I have the same pump but mine didn't come with any crush washers for the banjo. have to either reuse the current ones and smooth them down or I bought new ones.

So, all you needed extra was the washer for the banjo fitting...correct?

Correct, but I’m honestly not sure whether I rescued the old one or got a new one. I am certain that the only thing I ordered was the pump from Pelican, though. It’s good practice to not re-use crush washers but often it’s fine in practice.

Just don't tighten those washers so much that you "crush" them. Then you can reuse them a few times. Also buy some common sizes and keep them in your kit. Either copper or aluminum work.
