Carbon Fiber Stuff

My Turbo Project is moving ahead slowly. I am in need of custom Carbon fiber Interior pieces. I need Door Panels, dash and most important a Carbon Fiber Console. I thought I remember an ad in one of the Porsche Magazines of a company that sells this stuff.

Help!!!!

They are called Andreas Design. (or something like that) I found them before by doing a search. I also saw the demo 911 at the German Auto Fest last summer, some pretty cool stuff. Vince

john simone makes custom carbon dash and door panels. the door panels are similar to the 993 style. his work is flawless and priced accordingly. call AIR and ask about these parts- i think they sell them for him

OOPS! I lied!

I guess I did get a couple of more quotes on his products. Not as high as I thought either (the quotes were from back in November)

Here is the email I was sent:

thank you for your interest in our product. The console is $850 and blems are $700. The front splitter to the C2 turbo front bumper is $375. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us and thank you once again for your interest in our product.

I don't know....I checked the email I sent them and I only asked for pricing on the console and C2 Turbo splitters.

Blems are parts with cosmetic blemishes.

Does anyone know where to get the CF fabric to make your own parts?

Here is one source...

http://www.shopmaninc.com/carbonpage.html

I've also got some books and some c/f in my basement for "automotive medical experiments"...but my car blew up (literally) before I had a chance to fabricate any cool stuff.

How much wt. does the CF panel save? I wouldn't think it saves much -- but it does look interesting.

It's all about the bling-bling, baby!! Unless, you're talking about the new Carrera GT with it's new carbon fiber/plastic frame.

What books do you have and how hard does it seem to make parts out of CF?
