Smallville - 911 Movie/TV Wrecks

Did they really wreck a 911 in the pilot episode of Smallville - It looked very real. Can anyone tell which type of 911 it was/is? I have seen this one wrecked and another one in the first episodes of the New Hunter - I don't think this show lasted very long. Why don't they wreck crappy cars not 911s. Just wondering why.

The Smallville car that was driven off the bridge by Lex Luthor, was an SC. It was sold on ebay last summer. I actually bid on it, but wasn't serious enough to win it.
The "accident" was the work of the trade. The car remained in very nice condition.

The Smallville SC was almost identical to my car by the looks of things.

there have been a number of 911's on Smallville, including a 964 Speedster.

No seriously I watch it for the 911's....

yeah.....we watch Smallville frequently.......I've always been into comics growing up......Smallville just has a newer twist to the Superman/SuperBoy comics.....great show........several Porsches on the show over the last 3 years ......an SC, Speedsteer, 996 twin turbo & Boxster so far .........Porsche must have some kind of agreement/contract with that Show..........great bonus!

ohhh.......another bonus......Lana Lang!! ;-)

The fact that there are several Porsches on the show might be that several of the people connected with the show drive them.
When the show comes in to where i work, there are usually an abundance of good looking cars in the lot.
While they are prepping I get to check out the parking lot.

Bob, with all due respect, if the cast of that show was in my parking lot,
I wouldn't take my eyes off of Kristen Kreuk long enough to know if they drove Porsches or Yugos!

I would agree Mike...but unfortunately the talent does not come to the prep.
Every so often we do get some on camera tests shot in the small studio we have, usually make-up test or product shots.
I have seen some of the recognisable people at work....and am shocked at how they look off screen!
In one case with a male actor...did not even know who he was until told after he left.
Show biz.....ahhhh....the thrill!!

The Porsches are one of the many reasons I love watching Smallville - I agree with the bonuses of the show - my sister ran into Lex Luthor (the actor) the other night at a club in LA. Bob - it sounds like you have an awesome career. It must be fun. I just hate to see good cars wrecked when we can make owners proud of them and have them join us here at Pelican. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity - I bought Season 1 on DVD.
