3.6 conversion tip engine

Hello all, can one use a 3.6 tip engine in a conversion. I know the whole DME will have to be changed, but is there any other potential problems associated?
Thanks

tip? What do you mean?

A 3.6 from a 964 or a 993 will work.

"Tiptronic"

I think Harald has said that there are other issues w/ the Tip engine but I can't remember what they were.

Tip as in tiptronic. It is a 94 motor.

The way the back up lights are activated is the only difference in the wiring harness between tip and m/t. Steve Timmins has a work around, apparantly it's not a big deal.

Does someone have an itch that needs to be scratched with a new motor?

Well, found a good deal on a whole car.................
