I have/had a few slides from when I was a kid that I asked my Porsche fed family to keep safe (along with my Peter Gregg autograph that I got myself in 1977 Seattle). they are of an IMSA race with only the 935's sliding through on full boost turn 2 in Portland. Photography Slides are sweet and when I get to Portland, I will rummage through the boxes, as they are never before seen action!

Cheers,

Mad Mike,

I scan all of Bernie's color slides using a dedicated 35mm Color-Slide Scanner. I can convert them to a large and very nice digital file that you can print to an 8x10 or larger.

All of these shots

http://www.pbase.com/bernds_porsche_935s/chassis_numbers_whittington_bros_935_sears_point

http://www.pbase.com/bernds_porsche_935s/chassis_numbers_whittington_bros_935_laguna_seca

were scanned by me which I also had to re-touch to enhanced their contrast and color (some photos were exposed too dark).

I will be willing to do the same at no cost to you if you so choose to agree. The slides will be handle with upmost care and all will be returned to you promptly. Let me know if you have any interest. ; )

Armando

Thanks Armando,

When I get a chance to get up to Portland I will take a look and see what is left of the the slides. I hope all is well in tact as they were my personal view and memories. Nothing better than a click of the camera and capturing history.

Mike

Armando,
I just finished scanning photos from many of IMSA Sears Point Races from 1979 to 1987 and one of the Can Am races too. Let me know if you want copies for your site.

VZ, Love to be able to post all those IMSA shots you have containing the 911 RSRs here http://www.pbase.com/slidevalve911rsr

Your 935 photos, I'm sure they will be a great contribution to Bernie's 935 thread and he will certainly appreciate it.

Here is my email ajserrano@msn.com

Thanks again Van!

Armando

PS: I'll post your credits under each photo with the copyrights.

Say, that picture looks familiar. That is a 934 1/2 and is 7 of 10 built by the factory in 1977. In fact, it is for sale too.

Im busy looking through my disks for the pics of the 935 rebuild I was involved with last year. The Barbour? - Brian Classic Car.

I got to drive it.

(ok, out of the workshop only.)

Does anyone remember some dude in Holywood (movie type) who had a 935 built for him. I remember about 10 years ago seeing the car for sale as part of his estate. It was cheap back then. Im sure it was all 935 bits. May even have been a real one, i dont know.

it was all white.

I just dug out a box of slides I took at an IMSA race at Mid-Ohio in 1977. I'm going to borrow a slide scanner and put some up here. First pic I looked at was a #61 935 that says Jim Busby on the door.

It's a little muddy, but still a lot of fun to see what it's like inside a 935 at Sebring, Daytona and Mosport. I especially like how short the car makes the long straight at Mosport coming out of the hairpin.

PS: I think that I bought my first Porsche (a 944) from these guys. It was a great car and the folks at Eurotech seem to be pretty reasonable.

Ok these are really old slides, so give me a break on the quality.

First is someone's idea of a street and track pair of 935's. Summer 1977 at Mid-Ohio

De Rigeur flaming Sachs machine. Summer 1981 Mid-Ohio.

Coca-Cola special. 1981 Mid-Ohio...and what is that Budweiser thing?

I got more, M1 Bimmers, Bob Sharp Datsun, Hobbs in a BMW 3 series, lotsa P-Cars. All from that era and Mid-Ohio. Still looking for the batch with all the Chaparrals.

Another Sachs machine

My slide scanner is painfully slow and the slides are dusty. I gotta work on my technique.
