Shifter parts ?'s
I just took the shifter out to replace shifter bushings. Super easy, but here's the prob. I have the weltmeister short shift kit. I have had it in there for over 10 years. I decided to take it apart and clean all the old funky grease. What I noticed was this. The shifter has a 'lower spring seat', a 'spring' and a 'upper spring seat'. Well the 'lower spring seat' has crumbled away( gee I wonder why my car has a hard time shifting sometimes?) Duh! Damn thing was a mess. So does anyone know where to get this 'Lower seat'? Dealer???
Thanks again.

Are you using a '73-and-later style shifter, and is the crumbled part #10 in the diagram below? If so, I bet Wayne & crew can get it ... it is 'Buffer Plate' 911.424.147.00, per the '72 - '73 Parts Catalog!

S-man-It's number 31 on the right hand side schematic. I think that 29, 30 and 31 may be one piece??? 29 was still connected to 30, but 31 was jamed into 32. When I pulled the whole shifter out and moved lever, it was clicking and a' clacking.
Thanks for schematic. I tried looking online for one to no avail. This maybe a wrecking yard find??
