Bet you can't wait to try this beast out. I love bolting on a new mufler and driving the car around.
Its the simple things in life that make it so great sometimes!

I am glad you did that and thank you for sharing. I have been wondering what the inside of those mufflers look like and how they would work in the configuration you are using.
So would I be correct is saying your flow is now like this?

Yes, Joe, that's what I was going for.

Moses, I found the Magnaflow muffler and it looks like the #11386 will work just fine. Now I have to find a place to order it from.
It appears Jegs and SUmmit racing don't carry them. I used the websites dealer locator and the closest "dealer" listed is three hundred miles away.

How did you get yours???

My local muffler shop had one in stock. I used the Dynomax super-turbo. The Dynomax ST is a bit quieter. I heard the Magnaflow on a SC with SSI's at my mechanics shop. Sounded FANTASTIC! Why don't you have the Magnaflow shipped and enjoy Frankenmuffler in the meantime?

I'm trying to find an online source for the dual in/dual out Magnaflow.

I can't find it anywhere yet. Still searching.

See? Of course... How did you find that site? Maybe I should stop using the MSN search engine.
Anyway... I'll post some sound clips as soon as I get it back together. I have to reinstall the alt./fan first. I was going to send out the shroud for powdercoating, but I think that'll just have to wait.

Now, I'm going to order that muffler.

I just ordered one from bigexhausts.com
Hopefully I'll see it next week.
I also ordered a set of SStips. The most conservative I could find. Hopefully they don't look gaudy.

11386 is the aluminized version of the 14386 stainless bad boy.

Hey Lee,

Can I pay for that new muffler? I'm the one who posted the original bad info. about the #17231 Dynomax UltraFlo Welded muffler being a useful dual in /dual out application for the Flaumeister muffler approach............... Sorry 'bout that.

After I posted that awhile back, I found the .pdf spec page at Dynomax and failed to go correct my original post after seeing the diagram showing the 17231 as a same side in, same side out muffler (not a crossflow). My bad. Really sorry! Let me do something to make it up to you.

Here is a pic of the Magnaflow tips I ordered.

I'm still going to install the FRANKENMUFFLER just for kicks.
I'll be asking someone to host the mpeg. once I get the car running again.

Kevin, you can send flowers to my wife.
She has about had it with me and these "projects".
Her favorite word is "SAVE".

And mine is "SPEND!"
We balance each other out.

No worries. It was an honest mistake. Do you really think I am the type of person to demand retribution (sp?)? HA!
Class-action lawsuit! HA!
No worries.

Oops, I forgot to add that info.
The mandrel bends I bought from summitracing. They were like $18-$25 ea. depending on size and dimentions.

As for the exhaust pipe flanges, I simply took one of the 2 bolt flange gaskets to a local-yokle muffler shop and had them match 'em up. I didn't ask what car (honda etc) they came from, but they are almost identical. The only difference was the bolt holes were oblong.

C'mon Lee! Let me send you something!

When someone posts technical info., the dumbass (as in KTL) should make sure that he's correct before posting.
